About Northern Stewards LLC and Allan Thompson

Northern Stewards is owned and operated by Allan Thompson serving clients throughout Northern Vermont. Allan is a Certified Wildlife Biologist, Tree Farmer, and VT. Licensed Forester. A Vermont native, he received his degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana and worked as a wildlife and habitat technician for a variety of projects developing field skills in a variety of settings still used today. Northern Stewards was founded in 2007 with the idea of integrating forest and wildlife habitat management on private lands in Vermont. Since then, we have provided services to hundreds of private landowners, municipalities, land trusts, conservation organizations, States and the Federal Government.

Allan Thompson lives in Waterbury Vermont on his family land where he can tend his own woodlands. Allan is a advocate for a Woods Life. An integrated life that appreciates our life in the woods, utilization of resources, protection of ecosystems, and cultural and social interactions. When he is not working, You can find Allan on the ski slopes, in the wood shed, out scouting for game or on the water with a pole, always ready for a chat and a shake and howdy, ready to share his Woods Life.
